Hi, I tried doing this on flash cs4 and when i try to join the buttons together (with snap align ticked) there is always a white vertical line showing were they join. It is about 1px wide. How do i get rid of this??enjoyed the vid, subscribed thanks.

man I tried to follow you with Flash MX and I got the general layout and even played with the contact option..but when I went to preview it..nothing happened. I think it's because in MX the actions aren't setup like yours, so I get a choice instead of typing in various actions. Anyways, I'll check back later and see if I can figure more out.

guys you have to select the button face, dont click on the centre of the button because that will select the text, check that it says "button" in the properties panel and then add your code in the actions panel (window > actions)

oh by the way forgot to mention, remember to put that code on the button you want to link, not on your frame label. once your frame has been labelled go to the scene with your button and add that code, sorry for any confusion

ok guys, lots of you were having problems with connecting the drop down buttons to scenes within your flash website. remember that in order to link a button within a movie clip you have to link to a frame label so first go to the scene you want to link to and click on the first frame then in the properties panel give it a frame label then type in this code:on(release){ gotoAndPlay("Name of Frame Label");}this should sort out your problems, hope it helps

''Current selection cannot have actions aplied to it'' - I meant this message. (somehow the reply option doesn't work for me, eh)
