Adobe After Effects CS3 software allows you to create high end motion graphics and effects through the use of animated vector graphics, more organic movements as well as increased integration and collaboration features. In this training presentation, join author Joni Lambert, as she demonstrates the essential skills needed to get up and running with Adobe After Effects CS3 software. This includes transparency effects, the puppet tool, masks, rendering and exporting. This training production is just under an hour and a half long and is presented as a computer based application which requires the free QuickTime player in order to play. I have bought over 32 books in the last year on various subjects related to After Effects and other video software tools. Out of these only 2-3 really stand out, and this book is one of them.
It covers quite a bit and it layed out quite well and easy to read. I was so impressed with it, I came back and bought the PDF version for the road. If you are looking for a good book on After Effects, do not pass this one up.

Following the lessons in this book took my After Effects knowledge from *nothing* to *firm understanding*. I was interested in learning after effects so I bought this book. Being very reasonably priced, I was surprised to find the book was full of such amazing detail all throughout. The "tips," "factoids" & "gotcha" blurbs sprinkled around the margins instantly transform the lesson material to a real-world explanation of "what this means to me."

After Effects is a very powerful and complex program, and for a beginner, such as myself, it is quite intimidating at first. The After Effects Bible not only provided clear explanations and tutorials that allowed me to get started, but it also enableld me harness more of the programs potential. Most importantly, it motivated me to "think outside the box" and to use the program in new ways. If you are going to use After Effects then you really must read this book.

This is by far the most comprehensive of the books on After Effects. I've bought other books on After Effects from Amazon and returned one of them because it was quite bad! The Bible is first and foremost huge and comprehensive. It covers topics like Motion Math in detail I have not seen anywhere else. Same with Expressions and Keys! The tutorials are numerous and every function is explained via a tutotial or another. Great Book! And I am still plumbing the depths of it.
This is a book about THINKING in After Effects. It's one of the best software tutorials I've ever read because it is written from a production point of view.
